Here is another of our year-end features, a look back at someof the musical
personalities who passed away during the year. There were some influential
figures who passed from the scene. But interestingly, in terms of actual
numbers of obituaries I was able to compile, the number was somewhat smaller in
2004 than in many recent past years. As as our custom, I'll read the names in
chronological order of passing.
