Homegrown Music is WVIA-FM's exclusive series which each week showcases the talents of regional contemporary music artists in recordings produced in the WVIA-FM studios by series host George Graham and is broadcast Tuesdays at 9:00 PM. July 1 Jesse Terry. A fine singer-songwriter who has lived in the New York area and Nashville, Jesse Terry released his second CD Empty Seat on a Plane in 2012, and Mixed Bag and Homegrown Music producer George Graham selected it for the weekly album review series and gave it high praise.This is an encore of his 2013 Homegrown Music debut with a specially assembled band performing some new material not available on the CD.

July 8 Dan Masterson. A talented young singer-songwriter-pianist, Dan Masterson recently released his third EP, Learn to Live, which has been featured on WVIA's Mixed Bag. His original music is quite melodic and he is known for this appealing vocals He makes his Homegrown Music debut with a solo performance of some new material not appearing on the album.

July 15 A Homegrown Music Concert Encore with Fourth House. With the Homegrown Music live concert series on summer hiatus, series producer George Graham is presenting memorable concerts from the archive. This segment features an outstanding but fairly short-lived jazz rock fusion band, Fourth House, who in addition to boasting outstanding musicianship and compositions – the members at the time were mainly recent graduates of the Berklee College of Music -- also featured remarkable vocalist Megan Johnson. The group never released any recordings, but their Homegrown Music performances documented this impressive band. This is an encore of a live performance from 1999.

July 22 Sarah Holgate. A talented singer-songwriter pianist from the Wilkes-Barre area, Sarah Holgate released a CD Somewhere Past Distraction in 2009 to very favorable reviews. She has been performing in New York City as well as in Northeastern PA. This is an encore of her 2010 Homegrown Music debut which featured some new material plus re-interpretations of songs from her CD, joined by a quartet including her brother Eric on bass.

July 29 The Currys. There's something about vocal harmonies from members of a family who have been making music together for most of their lives. The Currys are two brothers and a cousin who make first rate folk-rock with memorable, hummable original songs with superb vocals. Their CD Follow was featured on the Mixed Bag weekly album review recently to high praise. They make their Homegrown Music debut with some new original material not on their album.
