Jan. 7 Christy Jefferson. The new year begins appropriately with
another Homegrown Music debut. Christy Jefferson is a wonderful
singer-songwriter from Coopersburg, PA, who brings thoughtful lyrics and an
enchanting vocal style to her original songs. Accompanying herself on piano and
acoustic guitar, she serves up a memorable set.

Jan. 14 A Live Homegrown Music Concert with PAUL MARK AND THE VAN DORENS. WVIA-FM's unique monthly series of live two-hour concert broadcasts continues with the return of a popular East Coast blues band. Paul Mark and the Van Dorens last brought their high-energy blues to WVIA in 1997, and the show still brings in positive comments from listeners. We welcome the band back to perform music from their latest CD Indigo Vertigo, plus more from their extensive repertoire of original music and distinctive bluesy interpretations of other songs, including material not usually thought of as blues.
As usual free audience seating is available by calling the station. (Note: Start time: 8:00 PM)
